Our Speech and Language Pathologists.

Janet: I am a co-owner of Associated Speech and Language Specialists. I received my B.A. in Elementary Education and Speech Correction from Elmira College in New York, and my M.A. in Communication Disorders from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. I have lectured extensively throughout Minnesota and the Midwest and have served many leadership roles for MSHA (Minnesota Speech-Language-Hearing Association) including president. When I'm not working, I love to travel and play with our three adorable grandaughters.

Shelly: I am a co-owner of Associated Speech and Language Specialists. I received my B.S. and M.S. in Communication Disorders from University of Wisconsin-River Falls and Mankato State University. Before starting ASLS I worked with patients of all ages in every setting. I love to travel and have visited hospitals and special needs centers in the Philippines on numerous occasions to provide workshops and in-services.

Pam: I am a co-owner of ASLS and have been here from the beginning (June 1994!). I received both my B.A. and M.A. degrees from Mankato State University. My previous experience has included hospital, home health and school settings. I have had the opportunity to speak about speech and language development to a number of groups including preschool directors and teachers, childcare workers and parents. I feel fortunate to have a family and a career I love!

Jodi: I received my BA in Communication Disorders form the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire and my MA form Wichita State University. I have a particular interest in working with children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. In my free time I enjoy reading mysteries, watching movies and finding plants that will survive in my shady yard.
Jeanne: I received my B.A.S in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and my M.S. in Speech Language Pathology from St. Cloud State University. I joined ASLS in 2004 and feel fortunate to work for a great company and to meet and work with so many wonderful families. I have a particular interest in working with children with apraxia, expressive language delays, and phonological disorders. When not at work I enjoy cooking, being outdoors, and I love spending time with my two kids and husband.
Sarah: I received both my B.A. in Communication Disorders and Spanish, and my M.A. in Communication Disorders, from the University of Minnesota. Before joining ASLS in 1998, I worked in a bakery and as a Nanny. I have presented at the MSHA Spring Convention poster session about the computer program Fast ForWord. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids.
Sarah: I received my B.A. in Speech-Language-Hearing-Sciences and my M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Before attending graduate school, I taught English in Mexico. I work full time at the St. Paul office. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, running and visiting my family in Wisconsin.
Anisha: Before joining the staff as a speech-language pathologist in 2008, I was part of the ASLS front desk staff and a Fast ForWord program coach for 5 summers throughout my undergraduate/graduate school career. I received my M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and a B.S.E. degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
Jenny: I work at the Arden Hills and Maplewood offices. I received my B.A. in Speech Communication from the University of Minnesota-Morris, and my M.A. in Communication Disorders from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Before joining ASLS in 2005, I worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Westwood Middle School in Spring Lake Park for five years. I also teach sign language workshops for parents with preverbal hearing babies.
Stacie: I am the site manager for the Maplewood office. I received my B.S. in Education-Communication Disorders from University of Wisconsin-Madison and my M.S. in Communicative Disorders from St. Cloud State University. Before joining ASLS in 1997,I worked at United Hospital with adults in acute care and rehabilitation. Being from Wisconsin, I'm a big Badger and Packer fan.
Stephanie: I am working at the Arden Hills location. I received both my B.A. in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences and my M.A in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. My areas of interest in the field include autism spectrum disorders, hearing loss, and fluency disorders. In my free time I enjoy reading, traveling, playing card games, and spending time with my friends and family. stephanie@associatedspeech.com
Sarah: After earning a B.A. in Linguistics from Iowa (go Hawkeyes!) and an M.A. in Communication Disorders from Minnesota-TC (go Gophers!), I worked in sub-acute rehab (with adults) and in a pediatric therapy clinic. Most recently, I have spent 7 years working at a children's hospital in Baltimore, MD. I've been with ASLS since 2010. My specialties are in Early Intervention and hearing loss (including cochlear implants). I'm glad to be back in Minnesota with friends, family, snow, and lefse. Saraab@associatedspeech.com
Katie J: I received my BS in Communication Disorders from the University of Wisconsin and my MS from St. Cloud State University. I joined the Associated crew in 2002. Annie: Currently I work at the Arden Hills location. I received my B.A. in Communication Disorders from the University of Northern Iowa and earned my M.A. in Speech Language Pathology at the University of South Dakota. I have worked with clients ranging from under 2 years old to over 90 in both academic and healthcare settings. In my spare time I enjoy volunteering, walking, running and spending time with my husband Dan.

Anne: I received my B.S. in Child Development from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and
my M.S. in Communicative Dissorders at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. I worked as a
preschool teacher for several years before attending graduate school. I currently work in an
elementary school and part-time a the St. Paul ASLS office. In my spare time, I enjoy spending
time with my husband, friends, and my two nephews.

Jenna: I currently work at the Maplewood clinic and started December 2011. I received my B.S. as well as my M.S.E. in Communicative Disorders with an educational emphasis at University of Wisconsin-River Falls. During my undergraduate schooling, I taught English in Japan for two summers. I have a particular interest in language delays and phonological disorders. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, shopping, and playing sports.

Support Staff

Jill: My role at Associated Speech & Language Specialists is a Business Associate, with an emphasis on Human Resources and Marketing. I joined ASLS in February 2007; however, I was previously employed at ASLS for 2 years before pursuing other experiences on a corporate level. It feels great to be back at ASLS! I'm excited about the upcoming possibilities to grow and develop as a professional while at ASLS. When I'm not working I enjoy working out, boating, reading, and photography.
Lynn: I joined ASLS in September of 2000 after both of my children were in school full-time. I have a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Finance. I am currently the Business Manager for ASLS and I feel this is a wonderful company to work for. Not only is my work rewarding, but it has been great developing the relationships we have with so many of our families. When I'm not in the office, I enjoy gardening, walking, getting together with friends, and trying to keep up with my children's very busy schedule.
Connie: I joined ASLS in the Plymouth office in August of 2006, and have enjoyed every minute of it! This office truly makes me feel at home and the therapists are wonderful. I enjoy getting to know the families that come to our facility and being able to assist in any way I can. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 sons.
Melissa: I joined ASLS in the Maplewood office in September 2008. I really enjoy the time I get to spend with the kids and their families. The therapists here are wonderful, and I get excited to come to work everyday! In my free time I enjoy cooking and spending time with my husband and all of our kids.
Cindy: I joined ASLS in the St.Paul office in October 2011. I have been very blessed with the opportunity to work with such a great staff! I've really enjoyed getting to know and build relationships with wonderful families and their children. I am a mother of three and a canine. Originally from Texas, my family has been a resident of Eagan for six years. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, taking long walks with our dog, Jack, bowling, and singing.

Cory: When asked what I do for work I usually respond, “I do a little bit of everything, and I work with amazing people all day long!” I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire with a degree in Art and Design before I moved to the Cities last December to be with my beautiful fiancée Maria. We will be getting married 19 November 2011 and I couldn’t be happier. In March, Maria and I will be moving to Brazil for 10 months as she was recently awarded a Fullbright Scholarship for her work with English language learning students.
