This group is held at our Maplewood location, and is co-led by speech and occupational therapists.
In this group, your child will practice social skills in a safe environment, with the benefit of therapist guidance and interaction.
Based on participant needs, topics may include sharing, turn-taking, personal boundaries (both verbal and physical), following directions, social cues and body language, transitions, frustration tolerance, identifying and reading emotions, asking appropriate questions, responding with appropriate comments, staying on topic, choosing mutually interesting topics to maintain conversations, and making and keeping friends.
