Steps of Hope 2009
Associated Speech & Language Specialists participated in the annual Autism Society of Minnesota Steps of Hope walk again this year. It is fun to see so many families and children together supporting such an important issue! The fundraiser raised over $81000, with money being used to enhance the lives of individuals and families coping with Autism Spectrum Disorders!
Autism Walk
Associated Speech & Language Specialists participated in the Autism Speaks Walk Now for Autism on Saturday, September 20th at Canterbury Park. It was a great success and a great way to spread awareness of autism.
Volunteering with Feed My Starving Children
Associated Speech & Language Specialists had the opportunity to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit organization committed to feeding starving children. The approach is simple: children and adults alike hand-pack meals designed specially for starving children, and FMSC ships the meals to more than 50 countries around the world.
The Pig Party!
Janet, Lynn, Sarah, and Jill had an opportunity to celebrate Liz's success in completing a book about pigs...by having a pig party! It was a lot of fun and everyone enjoyed the treats...even the pig!
